Comes when spirits turn to naught.
Constant COVID morbid news
Has gripped our hearts and thoughts.
We cannot hug. We cannot kiss.
We are confined inside
Our little rooms that are our world,
But not inside our minds.
It’s there we fair a chance of escape
From this torturous disease.
But do not fear foes in your flight.
This I beg you please!

The ones they rightly owned—
Due to COVID infiltration
Into vacation locations.

Shut their doors to those folks
Who needed retiring most.

Was told that given some time
That masks could cleaned
But the FDA seemed
Determined to block the streamline.

Put power in his paws
To tweet like war is raging
