In the beginning there was a void. Then nothingness exploded into matter. Instant life seethed from the cracks in the vacuum, And from what was nothing is now everything. Six days passed before our parents were born. From the rib, all flesh would be created, And thunder would awaken our souls. A chance to start fresh From a death That could’ve stifled us. But it didn’t. Just one chute shot from the ground Grabbing sunlight from the air and water from the dirt. Soon the growth was unstoppable. Seeds fell from flowers and took up residence In the Earth, bearing fruit of its own. Flowers exploded like fireworks Birthing beauty from what was once death. Us, mere plants, have conquered the End, And we shall never fall to darkness again.
